Trauma Center:
Recently, I color graded the Bruce Willis action film "Trauma Center" for Buffalo 8 Productions.
I had to design what I call a “push and pull” grade, meaning that I had to push the world inside the hospital into a steely, bluish-green all around the characters, while pulling the characters skin tones back into a normal, warmer place.
It was definitely a unique challenge to keep this look consistent from scene to scene and a lot of rotoscoping was used to mask off the characters from any backgrounds that had similar tones to their skin.
