I have been a Colorist for 25 years, having colored well over 175 feature films, numerous television shows, commercials and branded content. I have a unique and successful business model here at my company MTO Color Inc. and work in conjunction with many post houses in LA & abroad, as well. Having spent 12 years atl CO3 Santa Monica, my brand is to bring a scaleable, high-end post production facility look & output, with a light footprint of overhead. I believe that technology and art go hand in hand. The better you understand the technology, the better art you can create.

Senior colorist Mark Todd Osborne has maintained a busy schedule as an independent, following years of work at studios that include Company 3 and Light Iron. His home studio — MTO Color Inc. (mtocolor.com), in the area of Redondo Beach/Torrance Beach — is set up for 6K and 8K workflows, as well as 4K UHD. In addition to a calibrated 55-inch LG monitor, his studio is based around Blackmagic Design’s DaVinci Resolve, running on an iMac Pro that’s supported by a Blackmagic eGPU. He also works with local post houses, such as Fancy Film (www.fancyfilm.com), when support services are needed, making it a win/win scenario for all involved.

Colorist Mark Todd Osborne, like many currently working in film and television, was first attracted to the industry after being inspired by the work of Steven Spielberg. It was that inspiration that led him to film school to study directing. That path then led him to post and color grading. In fact, he now owns his own studio, MTO Color, where he works on television and film projects.
